Protesting is treated like a threat, but state violence and policy brutality are completely fine. Some governments are resorting to anti-terror laws and expanding police powers, they’re doing everything they can to repress the people and dissent, everything except actually listening. Students, workers, farmers across all Europe are protesting for better wages, for a life they can afford, for a quality education. Instead, they’re being beaten up and criminalised. They want you to be afraid. But change has never been handed down from the top. Change comes from people standing united; it comes from below. We will never be silenced. The Left
