Waiting for Something represents the epitome of Socrates' long-standing experience, both on a technical and a songwriting level. Επιβεβαιώνει απόλυτα γιατί θεωρούνται ένα από τα πιο χαρισματικά ελληνικά rock συγκροτήματα που επέλεξαν να εκφραστούν με αγγλικό στίχο. Οι στίχοι του άλμπουμ είναι ψαγμένοι και ευρηματικοί. Καλύπτουν ένα ευρύ φάσμα θεματολογίας, από την καθημερινότητα μέχρι τον σκεπτικισμό και τον εσωτερικό προβληματισμό. Το εκπληκτικό δέσιμο των μουσικών, οι συνεχείς ρυθμικές μεταβολές και η ιδιαίτερη ατμόσφαιρα δημιουργούν έναν ήχο που ξυπνά μέσα σου κάτι βαθιά ελληνικό, χωρίς όμως να χάνει ποτέ τον αυθεντικό rock χαρακτήρα του. Με τους σκοτεινούς, υπαρξιακούς στίχους για την απομόνωση και μια ατμοσφαιρική, progressive ενορχήστρωση με jazz-rock στοιχεία, το "Most People I Know" αποδεικνύει έμπρακτα γιατί οι Socrates μπορούσαν να σταθούν με αξιώσεις στη διεθνή σκηνή. Άλλωστε, δεν είναι καθόλου τυχαίο ότι λίγο αργότερα, το 1983, το συγκρότημα (υπό το όνομα Plaza) πραγματοποίησε μια μεγάλη βρετανική περιοδεία ως support των σπουδαίων UFO. Η πορεία αυτή είχε ως αποκορύφωμα τις εμφανίσεις τους στο θρυλικό Hammersmith Odeon του Λονδίνου, γεγονός που αποτύπωνε το κορυφαίο επίπεδο στο οποίο είχαν φτάσει.
