Με περισσότερα από πενήντα χρόνια καριέρας, ο θρυλικός Ελβετός τρομπετίστας και φλογκόρνιστας Franco Ambrosetti είναι γνωστός για τη λυρική, μελωδική και οικεία προσέγγισή του, που συνδυάζει την παραδοσιακή τζαζ με μοντέρνα στοιχεία. Ονόματα όπως Kenny Clarke, Cannonball Adderley, Dexter Gordon, Phil Woods, Michael Brecker, Steve Coleman, John Scofield, Greg Osby, Geri Allen, Kenny Barron και πολλά άλλα κοσμούν το μουσικό του βιογραφικό. Ο Miles Davis, που σπάνια επαινούσε δημόσια άλλους μουσικούς, εξήρε δημοσίως τον Franco Ambrosetti σε μια ραδιοφωνική συνέντευξη το 1987. Ο Φράνκο θα παίξει στο Πάρκο Πάρου μαζί με πολλούς από τους καλύτερους τζαζ μουσικούς στην Ελλάδα: τον Παναγιώτη Κωστόπουλο στα τύμπανα, τον Σταύρο Μάνθο στο σαξόφωνο, τον Ανδρέα Πολυζωγόπουλο στην τρομπέτα και τον Γιάννη Παπαδόπουλο στο πιάνο. Ο Marc Burronfosse, ο διάσημος Γάλλος κοντραμπασίστας, θα τους συνοδεύσει, μαζί με τον μοναδικό Ferruccio Gadani στα congas. -------------------------------- Jazz legend Franco Ambrosetti, who has helped shape the history of European jazz, will do us the honor of playing, along with his friends, at Paros Park on 31/8 at 9 pm. It will be the ultimate summer musical experience, under the stars! He has been a respected trumpet player for almost six decades. He won first prize at the Viennese International Jazz Competition in 1966 and throughout his career has played with some of the biggest names in international jazz. Besides Dexter Gordon, Cannonball Adderley and Joe Henderson, these include his Swiss colleagues Daniel Humair and George Gruntz, as well as Italian jazz heavyweights such as Dado Moroni. He was the Swiss Jazz Award Winner in 2018 and has received the “Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres” from the French Government. Franco will play at Paros Park alongside many of the best jazz musicians in Greece: Panagiotis Kostopoulos on drums, Stavros Manthos on saxophone, Andreas Polyzogopoulos on trumpet and Yiannis Papadopoulos on piano. Marc Burronfosse, the famous French double bassist, will accompany them, along with the unique Ferruccio Gadani on congas.
