On this day in 1978, Bob Marley and the Wailers released the LP “Kaya” (March 23) The album's release coincided with the One Love Peace Concert, heralding Marley's triumphant return to Jamaica from exodus in London. Three of the songs are actually new versions of tracks from the 1971 album “Soul Revolution Part II”. Well-known tracks from the album include the classic Top 10 hit "Is This Love", "Satisfy My Soul", and “Sun is Shining”, a remixed version of which became a dance hit in the late 90s. The iconic laid-back reggae LP reached #4 in the UK album charts, and #6 in Norway and New Zealand.
