Russian scientists have announced the development of an mRNA-based cancer vaccine, set to be distributed free to patients starting in early 2025, as reported by state-run TASS. Andrey Kaprin, head of the Radiology Medical Research Center, confirmed the vaccine's progress, while pre-clinical trials have reportedly shown its ability to suppress tumor growth and metastases, according to Alexander Gintsburg of the Gamaleya National Research Center. Researchers are exploring AI and neural networks to accelerate the creation of personalized cancer vaccines, potentially reducing computational time from weeks to less than an hour, aiming for tailored treatments based on tumor antigen profiles.
